Orders; Payment Terms; Taxes
Orders are not binding upon NI until accepted by NI. Terms of payment are within NI's sole discretion. Invoices are due and payable within the time period specified on the invoice, measured from the date of invoice. NI may invoice parts of an order separately. Customer is responsible for, and will indemnify and hold NI harmless from, any applicable sales, use or other taxes or federal, state or local fees or assessments associated with the order. Customer must claim any exemption from such taxes, fees or assessments at the time of purchase and provide the necessary supporting documentation. Any sales, use or other applicable tax or fees or assessments is based on the location to which the order is shipped. In the event of a payment default, Customer will be responsible for all of NI's costs of collection, including court costs, filing fees and attorney's fees.

30-Day Return Policy
Network Instruments, LLC offers a 30 day return policy on all products purchased directly from Network Instruments via the NETWORKTAPS.COM website by end user customers (dealers, resellers and distributors have different return policies and should consult their existing contracts).

The return policy is a "for any reason" policy - no reason is required to return the product, although we would always value your input as to the reason for the return.

A number of requirements must be met to return a product to Network Instruments:

  1. A valid RMA number must be obtained from Network Instruments and prominently displayed on the return package.
  2. The package must be RETURNED AND RECEIVED at Network Instruments Minnesota facility within 30 calendar days of the date on the invoice from Network Instruments.
  3. All products returned must be 100 percent complete, contain ALL original boxes and packing materials, have original UPC codes on the boxes, contain all manuals, blank warranty cards, original license documentation and other accessories and documentation.

Please call (952) 358-3800 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping your product. NO returns of any type will be accepted without an RMA number. For faster service, please have the following information on hand when calling for an RMA number: customer name, invoice number, and nature of the problem.

Customer is responsible for shipping charges on returned items.

Network Instruments strongly recommends you fully insure your return shipment in case it is lost or damaged and you use a carrier that can provide you with proof of delivery for your protection, and one that will guarantee a specific delivery date to insure that your product is received at Network Instruments within 30 calendar days of the date on the invoice.

Once the return is processed, credit will be given for the product returned by identical means as to how the product was purchased. Note: any shipping to or from the customer will NOT be credited. For example, if the product was purchased using VISA, a credit for the full product amount (minus shipping) will be made to the same VISA account. If payment was made by check, a check for the full product amount (minus shipping) will be cut to the issuer of the check.

Please note: Network Instruments will refuse all returns after 30 calendar days of the invoice date, or those without an RMA displayed on the package - returning the product by this date with and RMA number, including any days in shipment is the customers responsibility.

Failure to return a product within the 30 days return period will be deemed to be an acceptance of the product.

Damaged Products
If Customer receives damaged products, please refuse the products upon original delivery attempt. If damaged products are accepted from the carrier, such damage should be noted on the carrier delivery record. Please save the product and the original box and packaging and notify NI immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged products. Please notify NI Customer Relations at rma@networkinstruments.com of damaged products WITHIN THE FIRST 10 DAYS of receipt. Timely receipt of this information is necessary for NI to file a damage claim.
